| dc.description.abstract | This study evaluated the entrance surface dose (ESD) of adult patients undergoing chest and spine X-ray examination at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife. It also estimated the effective dose (ED) and the probability of cancer incidence resulting from exposure to X-ray as a result of the examination. These were with a view to adding to frontier knowledge on the effect of exposure to ionizing radiation and emphasizing on the need for optimization of dose to patients. | |
