This study examined the distributional issues in resource productivity and farm incomes in Kwara State, through the economic analysis of agricultural production, conditional upon farm size. Specific objectives were to examine the existing farm size patterns and identify factors which determine the distribution of farms in the state, analyze the impacts of the existing farm size patterns on resource productivity and farm incomes, investigate the cost-size relationships for grain-crop farms under irrigated (Fadama) and rainfed agriculture, and determine the optimal farm sizes and forecast the distribution of future farms for the small, medium and large farm size groups.
