dc.description.abstractThis study synthesized and characterized the new benzoyl derivatives of 2-substituted benzimidazoles (2-aminobenzimidazole and 2methylbenzimidazole). It also complexes the synthesized compounds with different metal(II) ions Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II) and Mn(II). In addition, it investigated the biological activities of the synthesized benzoyl derivatives of 2substituted benzimidazole and their metal(II) complexes. These were with the view of studying the physicochemical properties, geometry and the antimicrobial activity of the synthesized metal(II) complexes against some tested microorganisms.
