Abstract
Rapidindustrializationhascontributedimmenselytothedischargeofheavymetalsintoreceivingwater bodiesuntreated.Thequantityofheavymetalspredictioninindustrialwastewaterisveryessential beforetreatmentsothatthequantityispreciselyremoved.Thisarticleformulates,simulateandevaluate apredictivemodelthatmimicselectrochemicaltreatmentofleadandcadmiumionspresentinpaint industrialwastewaterusingartificialneuralnetwork.Thepredictivemodelwasformulatedusing FuzzyLogictoolboxinMATLABandthesimulationwasdoneintheenvironment.Theprediction ofthemodelwasevaluatedbycomparingthepredictedquantityofleadionsandcadmiumions withtheresultoftheexperimentalworkinthelaboratory.Thearticleconcludesthatthedeveloped predictionmodeldemonstratedveryhighpredictionaccuracyinpredictingthepercentageoflead andcadmiumionspresentinpaintswastewater
