dc.description.abstractInformation and Communication Technology (ICT) is arguably the most rapidly growing segment of the world ecosystem. ICT has become a major tool in delivery of health services and has had a revolutionary impact on how we live and perceive the world. It has given birth to the contemporary “Es” such as e-learning, e-commerce, e-governance, e-banking, and e-health. This chapter discusses the state of health informatics in Nigeria with some of the existing software developed for health care delivery in Nigeria. It also discusses the benefits that can be derived from the use of ICT in health care delivery in Nigeria. The chapter finally discusses the problems associated with the use of ICT in health care delivery in Nigeriaen_US
