It identified the Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools used by architectural educators in Federal Universities in Southwestern Nigeria; assessed the extent to which the identified BIM tools are employed in teaching; evaluated the instructional methods considered most effective in facilitating learning with BIM tools; and examined the factors influencing the utilization of BIM tools in the study area. These were with the view to providing information that would inform policy on the integration of BIM tools in architectural education within Federal Universities in Southwestern Nigeria. A quantitative research approach was used, with a structured questionnaire administered to a target population of 80 Faculty members in the Departments of Architecture at OAU (30), UNILAG (25), and FUTA (25) through a total enumeration sampling method. Of these 80 lecturers, 62 participated in the study, out of which 41 responses were received, resulting in a response rate of approximately 66.1%. OAU had the highest number of respondents (15), followed by FUTA (14) and UNILAG (12). Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including frequency distributions, measures of central tendency, cross-tabulations, and correlation analysis. Graphical tools such as bar charts and heatmaps were used to enhance visualization, providing a comprehensive understanding of BIM software use, teaching strategies, and institutional barriers. Findings show that Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD are the most used BIM software, while specialized tools like Navisworks and Tekla Structures remain underutilized. BIM adoption varies, with OAU using the widest range of software, while FUTA and UNILAG follow more structured approaches. Among BIM tools, 3D modeling is most used, followed by rendering, visualization, and energy analysis, while advanced applications like MEP design and construction simulation are rarely utilized. Studio-based learning is the most effective teaching method, while lecture-based instruction, though common, is less effective. Key barriers include limited software access, inadequate faculty training, and insufficient institutional investment, leading many educators to rely on self-taught methods due to a lack of structured university-led training. The study concluded that the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Tools in architectural pedagogy within Federal Universities in Southwestern Nigeria was marked by disparities in software adoption, reliance on self-directed learning due to inadequate faculty training, institutional constraints, insufficient software licensing, and inadequate professional development opportunities
