- ItemOpen AccessTechno-Economic Analysis of Biogas Generation from Poultry Droppings in Southwestern Nigeria(Department of Technology Management, Faculty of Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife., 2015) Phillip, Olalekan AyoolaThe study assessed technological and energy options available in the poultry industry in Southwestern Nigeria. It proposed a suitable continuous biodigester and evaluated the engineering economic viability of the process of biogas generation from poultry droppings. It also investigated the factors affecting the adoption of the biogas technology in poultry farms, and developed a policy framework for the growth of biogas technology generally and particularly using poultry droppings.
- ItemOpen AccessDevelopment of an improved quality of service model for electronic commerce(Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University., 2008) Ajayi, Anuoluwapo OlanrewajuThis research designed an intelligent based bandwidth management model which was simulated and evaluated on performance metrics and a prototype of the model was implemented.
- ItemOpen AccessThe effects of thermal processing on the quality factors of formulated periwinkle based products(Department of Food Science and Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife., 1990) Ariahu, Charles ChukwumaThe periwinkle is a marine mollusc that serves as a source of animal protein for the coastal people in Nigeria. The traditionally processed periwinkle is highly perishable and capable of harbouring toxigenic microorganisms. Thermal processing, unlike cold storage and dehydration, would assure the destruction of these microorganisms including their toxins while extending the shelf life of periwinkle products. Investigations were therefore carried out to establish indices for quality grading of fresh periwinkle ( Tympanostomus fuscatus)
- ItemOpen AccessAn evaluation of the implementation of the Nigeria's information technology policy.(Department Of Technology planning and Development unit, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria., 2010) Omowunmi, Mary Hassan. The study examined the formulation process and the various components of the information Technology (IT) policy in Nigeria and evaluated its effects on selected sectors of the economy. It also assessed its implementation and developed a model for evaluating the policy. This was with a view to improving IT policy formulation and implementation in Nigeria.
- ItemOpen AccessDevelopment of a utility-based framework for determining software product usability in hospital information system.(Department of Computer science and engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria., 2013) Ikono, Rhoda N.This study analysed the problem of software product usability in hospital information systems (HIS); designed data acquisitiion system and developed a utility based framework for determining software product usability. This was with a view to determining the functionality of software product within its contexts of use.
