(Obafemi Awolowo University Press., 2022-07-19) Olaogun, Adenike Ayobola
Child marriage is a formal or informal union in which one or both parties are below 18 years old (Liang et al, 2021). Nigeria is recorded as the 11th nation with the highest rate of child marriage, globally (UNICEF, 2020). The woman, at this stage, is biologically, economically and socially not prepared for childbearing. Epidemiological reports from some northern part of the country have revealed that 93.7% of young women whose first marriage is at 14 years end up with obstructed labor while 83.8% end up with obstetrical fistula (Bello et al, 2020).

THE FOX AND THE PIGLET: A PARADOX OF UNTAPPED RESOURCE IN NIGERIA
(Obafemi Awolowo University Press., 2023-04-11) Adesehinwa, Akinyele O.K.
Nigeria has the required resources to meet her needs but is not taking advantage of them. Therefore, it could be said that Nigeria has all it takes for self-sustenance in animal protein. It is, however, yet to take advantage of these opportunities to increase Pigs‘ contribution to the GDP of the livestock subsector. Hence, my lecture, titled “The Fox and the Piglet: a paradox of untapped resource in Nigeria”, will attempt to look at the pig‘s untapped resource in four cardinal areas.

(Obafemi Awolowo University Press., 2023-07-14) Akanmu, Moses Atanda
Pharmacology, a term derived from the Greek word pharmakon ("poison" in classic Greek, "drug" in modern Greek) is concerned with the study of drug action. Specifically, pharmacology is the examination of the interactions between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical functions. This includes drug composition, synthesis and drug design, molecular and cellular communication, molecular diagnostics, interactions, toxicology, chemical biology, therapy, as well as medical applications and antipathogenic capabilities. Pharmacology has two major branches: Pharmacokinetics, which refers to the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs. Pharmacodynamics, which refers to the molecular, biochemical and physiological effect of drugs including drug mechanism of action.

THAT I MAY LEARN A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH DISCIPLINE - SOCIAL STUDIES: JACK OF ALL TRADE, MASTER OF ALL
(Obafemi Awolowo University Press., 2022-11-08) Adeyemi, Babatunde Adeniyi
Social Studies can be likened to a tree that is planted, grown, well-nourished and has many branches. A tree serves as a shelter that underneath people can stay to have fresh air and feel comfortable. If Social Studies as a discipline is well implemented and incorporated into the curriculum at all levels of education, it will go a long way in solving the problems affecting the society at large. Social Studies was introduced into the curriculum of Nigerian Education System as a „problem solver‟ to provide solution to multi-faceted human problems.
