| dc.description.abstract | The study determined the socio-metric variables (group membership, socio-metric status, friendship status, academic achievement) that influence pupils' response to classroom learning in social studies. It examined reasons for acceptance or rejection as a socio-metric variables among peer groups, and assessed the relationship between classroom socio-metric variables and academic performance.
