dc.description.abstractLevels of different metal species and free fatty acids (FFAs) of a sewage treatment oxidation pond (STOP) of the Obafemi Awolowo University and its receiving stream were assessed. This was with a view to appraising the effectiveness of the pond in removing heavy metals, establishing the quality of water at downstream, and the potential toxicity of water and sediment of the study area.
