It also assessed the trend of enrolment of people in lower primary schools in the region since the commencement of HGSFP, it determined the trends of retention of pupils in lower primary schools in the study area; it further examine the academic achievement of beneficiaries of HGSFP in lower primary school in the region and assessed stakeholders' view of the success of the stated objectives of Home Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSFP) in lower primary schools in southwestern Nigeria. These were with the view to providing information on the state of HGSFP in lower primary schools in Southwestern Nigeria.

It also examined the relationship between perceived parental involvement and social self-concept of students, The study also investigated the relationship between locus of control and social self-concept of the students and examined the contribution of demographic variables such as age, sex, and tertiary institution type on students' social self-concept. These were with a view to providing empirical information on status of tertiary institution students' social self- concept and factors that could be responsible for it .
